Jesper döptes i samma kyrka
som Chris döptes i och han var klädd i samma dopklänning som jag hade. Det kan
inte betyda annat än att det kommer att gå bra för honom. Jesper skötte sig
exemplariskt i kyrkan. Han var lugn när prästen döpte honom och gav ifrån sig
ett STORT smile som gjorde oss alla stolta. Under resten av gudstjänsten sov
han. Även om det var en öppen gudstjänst med nattvard kändes det mest som vårt
dop och det tror jag fler tyckte. Efteråt bjöd vi på buffé hemma hos Chris
mamma. Gästerna var en blandning av barndomskamrater, studiekompisar och vänner
till familjen. Den populäraste presenten var en Bibel. Jag vet inte om det betyder
att jag måste bli religiös men eftersom jag mest tänker läsa på svenska så
överlåter jag bibelläsandet åt Chris. Om intresse verkligen finns så kan jag
leta upp min gamla barnens bibel.

Jesper was christened
at the same Church as Chris was christened in and he was wearing the same gown
as I was christened in. Surely that must be a good sign. Jesper was behaving
really well in the Church. He was completely silent when the priest baptised him and he gave the vicar a BIG
smile afterwards that made us so proud. During the remaining service he was
asleep. Even though it was an open service with communion, it really felt like
our Christening, than anything else. Afterwards we had a buffet at Chris’ mother’s
house. The guests were old friends, uni friends and friends of the family. The
most popular present was a Bible. I don’t know if it means I have to become
religious, but since I’ll mostly read in Swedish I’ll let Chris read the Bible.
If Jesper really wants to, I’m sure I can find my old Children’s Bible.
