The meaning of Christmas

Most cultures celebrate Christmas, however I think the one’s that appreciate it the most are the children.

The free magazine Metro published an article where they asked a couple of 5 year olds their idea of Santa. The children were also making their wish lists and all letters sent to Santa at Tomteboda (the Post office’s address) will get an answer from Santa who gets hundreds of thousands of letters each year.

Below are their answers

“Santa is probably pretty handsome. He lives in Finland, in a flat.”
(Tomten är nog ganska snygg. Han bor i Finland, i en lägenhet)

”I think Santa is 100 years old, or maybe 50. At least he’s old”
(Jag tror att tomten är 100 år. Eller kanske 50. Han är gammal i alla fall)

”I met a copy of Santa last year. I know it was a copy, since he had brown cloths.”
(Förra året träffade jag en kopia av tomten. Jag vet att det var en kopia, för han hade bruna kläder)

”Santa lives at Iceland. Did you not know that? But you’re an adult!”
(Tomten bor på Island. Visste inte du det? Men du är ju vuxen!)

”He probably takes off his Santa outfit and takes the air-plane when he’s handing out the Christmas presents”.
(Han tar nog av sig tomtekläderna och åker flygplan när han ska dela ut julklappar)
